Lauren Urquhart is one of the youngest singers ever to join the ensemble of the Wiener Volksoper. The 22-year-old soprano will officially be giving her debut in one of Europe's leading opera houses in the fall of 2019. The Volksoper will present Lauren in a large variety of roles: from Papagena to Liesel von Trapp, as well as in two premieres, including the female leading role in the European premiere of "Schoenberg in Hollywood".

The first annual Internationale Opernwerkstatt Waiblingen will be held in September. Lauren will spend a week in masterclasses with Thomas Hampson and Melanie Diener, followed by a final concert with the Stuttgart Philharmonic Orchestra.

Lauren will sing the soprano solo in the "Missa in honorem Sanctae Ursulae," otherwise known as the "Chiemsee-Messe." Johann Michael Haydn was the younger brother of the more famous Franz Joseph Haydn. This is Lauren's first performance in the famous St. Stephen's cathedral.
